Croatian architectural studio Studio Up has built an innovative office building, transforms one of the streets of Zagreb (Croatia). Construction area headquarters Spectator Group, openness glazed main facade of which corresponds to the hottest architectural trends, was 5300 sq.m.
The objective of this project was the conversion of an existing building for new headquarters for the Spectator Group. When the project was being developed, the site was completely open, and the excavation and construction work began with the use of existing, previously developed by the concrete.
The idea and methodology of work were designed to preserve the existing primary structural elements of architecture and, thus, drastically change the outdated aesthetics of the former building, creating optimum conditions for efficient work of staff.
The concept of renewal project – “the working capsule”, built in a distinct geometrical pattern. In every “working capsule” will operate the group consisting of six members.
Given the relatively small size of the building – height, depth and width of the chosen solution architects visual relationship of office space are highly reflective and visually increase the design effect.
The proposed system aims to avoid the office space barriers that stand in the way of effective communication between the rooms. Thus, architects, innovators have created a new type of office space environment, located between the “honeycomb cell” is almost completely open concept.
The building is equipped with automatic garage for 75 parking spaces and is located within the two tiers of the underground level.
At ground level there are lobby, the entrance to the garage and commercial salon. Above – the first, second and third floors are placed office space, waiting areas and conference rooms.
In accordance with the chain of command, management unit located on the fourth floor. Here are the VIP-lounge, a large conference room, as well as some mini-offices for the Board of Management and tea pavilion for business and friendly meetings, issued on the roof of the building, which was formed as a green garden.
