Villa 4.0 – house with Creative architecture designed by experts from the Dutch studio Dick van Gameren Architects in the Netherlands, the former site of a simple bungalow which was built in 1967.
“Heart” of earlier small house gradually acquired “wings” with the new premises having direct contacts to the main space and picturesque views of the surrounding territory.
The original dissymetric geometry destroys habitual idea of comfortable inhabited space, but promotes creative thinking of inhabitants of the house. As a result of expansion, architects created housing which reestablishes the lost communication between an interior and a landscape.
Taking the current structure as a foundation, exterior walls and roof have been upgraded by adding insulation and replacing all of the windows on the large areas of glazing.
The walls in the central part of the house were removed to create a new layout with an open view of the area from four sides.
Furthermore, the physical and visual connection between the house and the landscape have been consolidated in the attached to the social space of a glass pavilion, which stretches to the river flowing past the house.
