Designer Judson Beaumont and his team think that furniture cannot only take metro and walk in parks but also be able to give birth to lovely children. And their latest heroes of the humanoid furniture series Vern and Vinny are the “living” proof.
It is easy to guess that even though these pieces of furniture are to be used for intended purpose, they will rather become funny interior decoration. Such a presentation of a classical dresser is very cute: each “hero” has its personal color, shape and nature.
We can say that this is a collector’s item. This series like many other projects has a lot of fans. People are anxious to pay good money for these unique creations.
Judson Beaumont himself calls his pieces art furniture. Strange as it may seem but everything started with the movie Who Framed Roger Rabbit? . Thanks to it the designer began thinking: why can’t furniture be bent, twisted or of other hyperbolized shape?
He began experimenting with plywood and MDF and quickly found his calling. His funny projects are the following: accordion table, accordion dresser, dress dresser and others – they are not just ironical, but also functional.
In addition to his furniture series Judson Beaumont also arranges large installations for hospital waiting rooms, restaurants and airport lounges.
