Located on the waterfront of Munksön lake, Jönköping, Sweden, the two blocks of city houses are based on a long-term strategy of sustainable housing development, creating an attractive home in one of the best places in the center of Jönköping.
Instead of creating a series of standard concrete buildings, the requested number of apartments were built in two large blocks with the original design of the exterior. Two compact volume have taken the position, in harmony with the town and the neighboring lake and meet the low-power concept.
Outdoor terraces surrounding the perimeter of the building belong to the apartments with large open spaces.
Houses contain a transparent screen, adapted for each apartment individually of anodized aluminum, which scatters the light, and its arched forms look like a hanging curtain. It offers a buffer zone between the intimate domestic interiors of apartments and a huge, massive landscape.
Most of the apartments are located in the corners of the building, taking all advantages of the panoramic views from the windows and room illumination.
