MJ House – an unusual modular vacation home, built in the hilly forest area of Slovenia according to the project of professionals from the local architectural studio Kombinat.
Vacation house located near Novo Mesto, surrounded by lush greenery. As basic material, which determines the appearance of the building, architects used wood, which is the best fit to local structure of natural landscape.
Spacious windows make the scenic landscapes of the interior home and lets in plenty of natural light. Extremely open floor plan home, resolved in a very light scale, conventionally divided into two parts – the living room and bedroom.
Both outside and inside the house wrapped in a vertical slats of larch like challenging puzzle game. Adapting to the characteristics of the site building, garage almost dug into the ground, almost without changing the natural landscape. Concrete structure facing the road, providing a convenient approach.
