City UN – UN headquarters in Copenhagen (Denmark), designed by experts from the architectural studio 3XN . The unique structure takes 1,700 employees and in terms takes the form of an eight-pointed star, which is a metaphor for the work of the UN in different parts of the world.
The building is clad in perforated aluminum shutters, which can be controlled from a personal computer staff. Ecological features of the object include cooling seawater, rainwater harvesting for technical needs and solar panels that can generate 297,000 kWh / year.
Central sculptural staircase encourages effective circulation and active cooperation for office staff, whose task, in turn, is to promote positive dialogue between peoples and countries.
