LG is preparing a breakthrough in the mobile phone market. Thanks to its design, it will be even smaller in thickness than it is now. After all, company presented to the public the world’s thinnest smartphone screen.
Mobile phone manufacturers are no longer compete with each other in an attempt to make devices as small as possible. On the other hand, smartphones are becoming more and more closer in size to the tablet computers. However, despite this increase, their thickness tends to decrease. For example, at the thinnest phone in the world, Huawei Ascend P6, it has an index of 6.18 millimeters. But, apparently, this record is about to collapse under the onslaught of new devices.
The fact that LG a few days ago issued a press release on its new technology – the most delicate in the world display for smartphones. It is expected that the devices equipped with it, will go on sale a few months later, in the fall of 2013. New display for mobile phones developed by LG, has a thickness of only 2.2 millimeters.
Full HD display has a diagonal of 5.2 inches and provides excellent image quality. The new screen from LG favorably proposals of other companies due to the greater brightness and improved contrast. The manufacturer promises that the picture on it would be great to read even under the strong sunlight in the open. Planned that the first mobile phone that will be available with LG’s new generation screen, in the future will be the company’s flagship smartphone LG Optimus G2, the official presentation of which is expected August 7, 2013.
