The modern Protestant church, built in Tokyo (Japan) on a project by French architectural studio Ciel Rouge Creation, is not only a non-trivial architecture but unique acoustic properties.
Most recently, we talked about modern temple, designed by young Belgian designers, that sense of the divine beyond, limited the church building. This time, own progressive vision of architecture and philosophy of the church by the French architects. And they did it in Japan – a country that is open to innovation in any, even the most conservative area. Six arches and a modern interpretation of the bell tower symbolize seven elements – seven days of creation, the seven churches of the East.
Due to specific shape of the room – gently curved arched vaults – every sound there is continued for two seconds. This feature creates the unique sound of church music and prayers, spoken believers.
Conceptual architecture of the building is designed to create a sense of the biblical heaven, from which the congregation comes down the lights and the Holy Spirit. The department is located at the beginning of the wave-like arches, and a place for parishioners and all other components of interior give the impression of a wave continued sounds coming from the department and of the Holy Cross, established by its side.
Break habitual patterns of perception of the church – bold forms and bright color fragments. Filled with air and light, this modern church is designed to inspire and give hope to unite and create a sense of the divine creation of the holiday.
