The futuristic complex organics Multiple natures – fibrous tower from Austrian architects
0The Austrian architectural studio Soma has developed a project of «Multiple natures – fibrous tower» to participate in international competition, held recently in Taichung (Taiwan). The futuristic structure has taken the second place, however, it deserves to be represented in our collection of skyscrapers.
Organic aesthetics of the building based on the principles of plant and animal life. The structure combines the observation tower and the city museum. The exterior and complex interiors adapt for weather conditions, using ultra-modern systems, mechanisms and building materials.
The fantastic viewing tower uses genetic algorithms of natural processes of growth and is created by digital modelling. The definitive variant of the project has been found by a choice from 2,5 million alternative variants!
Stability of a design is provided with eight support, connected among themselves with diagonal elements. Hollow forms of structure are formed in bunches, forming the impressing aerodynamic silhouette maximising resistance to influence of a wind. Easy and strong iron pipes of various diameters in a range from 2 – 5,5 metres became building basic elements.
The architecture of a building is conceptual interpretation of fibres or trunks of the plants adapted for loading on each separate segment. Besides, structure elements are made mainly of materials of local manufacture that provides economic efficiency and speed of building.
The area of a site of building makes 44000 square metres, building height – 330 metres. In complex territory the parking place calculated on 254 cars also is provided.
