Tea House and Library - a unique country house, built in Shanghai (China) on the project specialist in the Chinese architectural studio Archi-Union Architect. The aim of the architects was to create an atmosphere of solitude surrounded by nature and the many books that fit on creatively integrated into the body of the building shelves.
Unusual appearance of the house submits to rules of modern design, however adds to them something much more. According to architects, the building sensitively reacts to environment.
The plan of its location is logically unclear quadrangle, forming the most effective capacity and orientation of the spacious windows let in a stylish but gloomy interior of a sufficient amount of natural light and fragments of the surrounding landscape. The unusual house is divided into three parts.
On the first floor is the living room area and a library. A small triangular balcony-terrace penetrated living tree, which the architects carefully preserved, making the dominant visual exterior of the building. Part of the plot near the house has a pool.
Stranded staircase leading to the second level, as well as other architectural elements of the internal space, reminiscent of the fabulous cave vaults.
As close to natural conditions cover the surfaces of walls, ceilings and floors, as well as elements of interior decoration create the effect of complete fusion with nature – a sense of detachment from the hustle and bustle of city life and total relaxation during a family or a friendly tea party.
Private space, requiring confidentiality lives of slum located on the second level, whose windows offer beautiful views of the green landscape that surrounds the house on all sides.
