It doesn’t need to be connected to the network, getting tangled in wires, or charge the battery. And all this – thanks to solar energy, which lies at the heart of the new printing method. Principle on which is based an unusual way to print, sign almost everyone: those who have not to burn with help of magnifying glass black ornaments on tree! Development team Hosung Jung, Junsang Kim, Seungin Lee and Yonggu Do decided to put at the service of burning paper printing. To do this, they came up with a printer that will accumulate energy from the sun into a beam, and with it help put image on plain paper. Similarly calculated amount of heat, not burning leaves, make its surface covered with letters and numbers.
Of course, the image will be black and white: paper under heat is usually not poured all the colors of the rainbow. However, authors of Tanning Printer calculated that about 70% of all ink printers just goes to black and white printing. But this is not only a huge expense of money, but also considerable pressure on the environment, poured tons of ink on the garbage thrown away thousands of used cartridges…
In addition to great savings on ink, printer will be able to save money and energy: now if it will work under the bright sun, so why not integrate into it solar battery? It will cover most of the printing needs, and thus will make Tanning Printer autonomous.
Main drawback of the new printing method - continuation of its merits. In cloudy weather it will be impossible to print something. So make Tanning Printer only one print device in the office is not worth, and it will be better to put it on the balcony, and even on the roof of the office.
