Every year, thousands of people drown in reservoirs. Each of them could be saved, if they had worn a life jacket, but no one wears them while swimming, because they are too cumbersome. The authors of “Uslon” project – chemical engineer Valery Gryaznov and industrial designer Katerina Semenko decided that swimsuit or trunks may become a life-saving tool.
When a person inhales, he can not drown. Provisionally setting the density of water equal to 1.0, then body weight at the time of inhalation is 0.96 – 0.98 with respect to the density of water. But when you exhale, this parameter increases to 1.03 – 1.05. If a person does not take a breath, he will sink. But when a human body will get a 2-3 kg of extra buoyancy, then he will never drown.
“Uslon” swimwear provided with a plurality of plastic capsules with air inside, providing the human body with the necessary support in 2.5 kg. This is achieved by the fact that tens of flexible tubes of encapsulated air are sewn into a belt instead of gum melts, straps or other decorative elements of the swimwear. Besides, an additional porous material with the air capsules inside is used instead of the modeling push-up cups in the bodice of swimsuit. The principal elements of the “Uslon” – tens of flexible thin tubes with soldered air inside diameter of 0.8 mm, arranged in 2 rows. The second component – solid porous material with air capsules used instead of foam rubber.
At the moment, the project is developing and inviting investors and producers for the launch of the first batch.
