Alternative energy – solar panels and wind turbines – are in fashion! Moreover, in the truest sense of the word “fashion”. As evidence for this claim comes from the unusual show, which was held recently in the Paris Fashion Week . After all showing of new models of clothes from Karl Lagerfeld has taken place on a podium which has been made of solar panels and is issued by huge wind-driven generators.
The idea to turn the podium into a powerhouse, generating alternative energy, according to Karl Lagerfeld, it came at a time when he was walking in one of the parks in Paris, sat down on a bench to rest and took a deep breath breeze, moved onto it. Inspired by the influx of energy derived from this blow, the maestro came up to use the wind as a metaphor for new blood and new trends in fashion.
And, more visually to show a strength of wind, Lagerfeld has decided to decorate a podium on time of display of the new collection of clothes with thirteen huge wind turbines built in two ranks. Supplemented by a large number of these elements are solar panels lined with on the podium as a floor covering. Even the dresses featured on this show, carry the idea that Karl Lagerfeld put into this show. For example, some of them have the brilliant ornaments stylised under solar panels, and others are sewed so as if they are developed by a wind even during the fullest calm.
