Bao House – “soft” house on wheels, developed by experts from the Chinese studio dot Architects. Mobile structure consists of quilted facade attached to a tricycle.
Architects created a fun “soft” structure as a sort of mobile living space for the exhibition of visual art and design Get It Louder 2012 in Sanlitun Village shopping mall in Beijing (China).
Bao House from afar can be mistaken for a large square and a soft pillow. In fact, soft hose on wheels is made of polyurethane foam (SPF), which mimics the shape of a soft tissue filler, filaments and decorated nails.
Material “construction” of house on wheels has excellent acoustic properties, high water resistance and insulation. The roof of the temporary dwelling, a three-beds, made of transparent polycarbonate and lets in natural light. A door here is not present, but its duty is performed the by one of walls of house, equipped by an extensible mechanism.
