Pillow-bear Jusui-Kun will help not to snore during sleep
0From the humorous folk art – anecdotes – all have long known that the ideal couple, is when the husband snores, and his wife deaf. Well, in every joke there is only a fraction of a joke, because many people feel uncomfortable sleeping next to a partner who snores in his sleep, and even if you go to bed separately, snoring behind the wall can still extremely annoying. To overcome the problem, Dr. Kaba from Waseda University (Japan) has developed an amazing pillow Jusui-Kun in the form of a large white bear, which is expected to help people not to snore during sleep.
The essence of the project lies in the fact that robotic pillow-bear tracks and analyzes the dynamics and volume of snoring with built-in microphone, and when the volume reaches a certain point, the system would set in motion a paw of the bear. Thus, sleeping next will not have to push a partner at his side, – all work for him will do bear Jusui-Kun. It will gently tickle the offender silence in the face, causing him to change the position of the head or body, which normally helps to stop snoring.
As a bonus, to a large white teddy bear attached a bear less. This robot arm is attached to the sleeping man, and keeps track of his pulse and blood oxygen levels. It is expected that this will help avoid sleep apnea – a condition in which a person temporarily stops breathing during sleep.
Pillow-bear Jusui-Kun was introduced by developers during the International Exhibition of robotics in Tokyo.
