The name of the boutique and restaurant in Japanese means “crown” and lives up to its ambitious name.
During the earthquake and tsunami in Japan, optimistic and creative Japanese designers of Tokyo Fashion Week plans have left to find a decent place to work and provide their own collection. That Berlin kindly responded to these searches and invited the Japanese project Tokyo Gakudan (Tokyo Orchestra), including creative projects forty Japanese designers take part in the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Berlin in July 2011.
This friendly gesture charity has also led to the creation of boutique and restaurant OUKAN 71, which are the creators of the Japanese participants world-famous Berlin Fashion Week. At two public levels restaurant-boutique you can find many trivial proposals clothing, accessories and design objects, most of which are at present rather a Scandinavian direction, but not without a true Japanese attention to detail and philosophical visual accents. Restaurant and tea bar offers its clients exclusively vegetarian breakfasts, lunches and dinners, as well as exquisite fish dishes from the chef and confectioner genius Eriko Ohsawa, had previously worked in famous restaurants Tim Raue MA and UMA.
