Organic architecture of Chilean Wine Museum
0This high vertical structure with futuristic architecture – the museum project of Chilean wines Wine Museum in San Kristoballe Grey, north of Santiago (Chile). Authors of the project – Italian architectural studio DRA & U - tried to get away from the traditional associations with one of the oldest and finest beverages, clothing theme exhibitions at fantastic ultra-modern shell.
A unique facility that offers exhibition space, also serves as the main exhibit – works of modern art and architecture of large-scale functional sculpture.
Departing from traditional window openings, authors of the project came to a fantastic form of the building, mixed-punched oval holes. This “system of capillaries”, delivering light inside the building, finds its continuation in the interior exhibition spaces. The holes are integrated into the building so as to avoid falling into the room too bright sunlight, undesirable to store valuable items.
However, number and size of windows contribute to the penetration of a sufficient amount of natural light and allow visitors to watch the panorama of the park and the city.
Organic structure height of 100 meters around the area, landscape design which also develops the theme of abstract rounded shapes that form a “system of capillaries” of the object. Guided by the principles of the functioning of living organisms, futuristic architecture of the project enters into a dialogue with the interior, exterior and surroundings.
