Danish studio Snedker Studio, whose founder Pernille Snedker Hansen, created the original flooring - Marbelous Wood. Each piece of flooring has a unique color pattern. It reminded the texture of marble, and the annual rings of a tree.

Patterns are obtained by applying a piece of flooring on a solution with acrylic paint. This version of the flooring was in the top five nominees on the Danish Biennial for Crafts and Design, 2011.
