Lola-Drayson – the world’s first electric car race
0Meanwhile the majority of electromobiles cannot brag of special records of speed and duration of moving on one charge of the accumulator. But car Lola-Drayson is not entered at all in this statement. After all it is an electromobile created specially for participation in races of 24 hours of Le Mans.
Last year there was rather indicative tendency in development of electromobiles. The different companies announced this sort of cars created for not distant city moving for one-two persons. But the British companies Drayson Racing Technologies and Lola Cars Development Group have gone on other way. They have created a joint child – racing car Lola-Drayson B12/69EV which they are going to declare 24 hours of Le Mans of 2013 year for races. And, as they declare, it will struggle there for prize-winning places.
Variant Lola-Drayson B12/69EV presented to the public has capacity of the engine of 850 horsepowers. It can accelerate momentum 320 kilometres per hour. And dispersal with 0 to 100 kilometres per hour occurs all for 3 seconds.
Lola-Drayson B12/69EV powered by a lithium battery nanophosphate chemistry, which can be charged only for fifteen minutes. Moreover, the process is non-contact charging. Electric car is only necessary to call in on a special platform which will add its battery energy by electromagnetic induction (system Qualcomm HaloIPT wireless induction system).
Car Lola-Drayson B12/69EV is created specially for demonstration of various possibilities of cars with electric motors. After all now them perceive as city cars on which it is possible to reach only in the morning for work and in the evening home. But such made narrower representation as we see, absolutely incorrectly!
