Kurio – tablet for children

While adults of the whole world cannot come off “tablets”, children too want the similar computer. Here for them tablet Kurio also is created.

We already told about attempts of creation of tablet computers specially for children. But, if Vinci is “tablet” for the smallest representatives of a human race Kurio it is intended for more senior children.

This tablet working on the basis of operating system Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, the special cover intended for such users is created. With its help it is easily possible to use training programs, to look video, to listen to audio, surfing the Internet. But thus parents of the child can activate system of protection against an undesirable content (thus they will define, which content to consider undesirable). Also it will be possible to adjust time parametres (how many hours can work Kurio and till what time successively).

Children’s tablet Kurio will be started in sale in three variants – with a diagonal of 9.7 inches and the permission 1024 on 600 pixels, 8 inches (800 on 600 points), and also 7 inches (800 on 480 pixels). Two “senior” models will have on two cameras (2-mpx face-to-face and 0.3-mpx on the forward panel).”Younger” is equipped with only a 0.3 megapixel camera.

All models of “tablet” Kurio will have ports USB and mini-HDMI. For protection of the case against damages (children – they after all such fidgets!) the tablet will be wrapped up in a special rubber cover. The built in memory size, without dependence from a diagonal, 4 gb. It is possible to expand this indicator of about 32 Gb by means of SD-cards.

In sale Kurio will arrive in July, 2012 in Great Britain. The price of this device will make 150, 180 and 200 British pounds sterling (gradation in process of increase of a diagonal of the screen).
