Ingenious optical illusions in interior office No Picnic by the Swedish Architects
0The unique situation with a witty title office No Picnic which is located in the former military barracks, brilliantly maximizes spatial and visual communications that are intended to promote effective work and cooperation of employees. The basis of the Surrealist concept of space has mirrored walls carved with holes in it translucent.
Premises of the former barracks divided into two parts, a long solid wall, did not reach the high ceiling. One side wall is mirrored and doubles all items placed in front of her. In the wall done by rectangular openings through which a translucent colored glass fragments of the interior can be seen in the second room.
This technique creates a fantastic visual effects and optical illusions. Moreover, despite the need for crushing a long and narrow space, such a wall, partition, does not reduce it visually, but rather expands and fills the extra light.
The office has two long conference table, set for the meetings, as well as several sets of tables for receiving visitors and jobs are located on the first and second levels of loft space.
Experts from the Swedish architectural studio Elding Oscarson , developed the design office, set up the symbolic ladder, which is adjacent to the mirrored wall as a gateway to move from lower to upper floor and back.
Title No Picnic is a metaphor that succinctly and accurately denote the result of imagination of designers, as well as the dynamics of the creative staff of the office. We can only wish to future residents do not forget about the existence of walls and barriers, despite their sometimes apparent only illusory.
