Hollow Chair: chair-storage for various stuff

Many believe that laziness was born before man, and now people have to struggle with laziness or either cooperate, or surrender. Which category are designers who create furniture for lazy people, I confess, not easy to determine. Cooperation is it, or indulgence, it turns out eventually, but for now we have projects of unusual chairs for those who are reluctant to once again rise from their seats. Today – another version of an unusual chair for the lazy, entitled Hollow Chair.

The project’s author, designer Judson Beaumont, designed this seat so that the form is no different from the usual, classic chairs, but also serves as a secluded storage for many different things. The fact that the “bottom” of this chair is absolutely hollow, and is something like a shelf, which can be completed in its sole discretion.

So, on this shelf, you can arrange toys or books, crafts, or magazines, store in slippers, chargers and remote controls of household appliances In addition, given that the “store” in the chair doesn’t close the door, the cavity can be filled and decorative objects such as artificial flowers and garlands, well, or left to the pet – suddenly they love this new house to sleep. 

 

Сhair-storage Hollow Chair is made of 618 individually cut pieces of plywood from Baltic birch and upholstered in shiny vinyl. Simple and elegant, it will be way as in the nursery and in the living room, as in a city apartment or country house.
