0The furniture forever is not always means “so strong”. Sometimes this statement concerns exclusively appearance of this or that piece of furniture and if the designer was perspicacious enough, and its project – original enough, it will surprise public and after fifty years. The example to that is Hand and Foot Chair, the creative armchair created by designer Pedro Friedeberg in 1960.
Mexican designer has literally apprehended expression “feet in hands”, here its armchair entirely made of a tree, and represents an illustration to this expression. The hand smoothly passing in a foot, will support the person sitting in an armchair, and nobody can doubt its stability, even in spite of the fact that a foot at an armchair – unique.
Hand and Foot Chair reminds a sculpture, a decorative element of an interior, instead of the present furniture, an armchair in which it is really possible to sit more. However, considering that such extraordinary design subject hardly will be by the way in an interior of modern apartment, armchair Hand and Foot Chair is doomed to be only beautiful “toy”, a symbol of creative design of furniture of 60th years.
