French artists and designers Christophe Berdaguer and Marie Pejus implemented a unique project of updating of a part of a building of gallery of the modern art in Delme the small village located in northeast France.
A new structure called Gue (ho) st House is part of the property belonging to the center of the Arts Centre d’art Contemporain-La Synagogue de Delme and serves as exhibition and studio space.
The unusual name of the updated futuristic building was inspired by a play on words in the title of the painting by Marcel Duchamp and pays homage to the building located next to the prison, school and undertaker.
Designers have updated the existing structure using thick white layers of polystyrene, which resulted later in the original outer walls with the effect stress.
In order to create a “real architectural phantasmagoria”, artists have developed a project that is in tune with current trends and makes a strong visual impact, aiming to become one of the most significant sites of the new France.
