“Green” power station of 27 gigawatts by 2050th year
0Not only Germany plans to refuse atomic engineering. Thinks of it and Great Britain. Certainly, this country does not do sharp statements on terms, but with great strides moves ahead to the specified purpose. For example, it is going to create the huge “green” power station which capacity will make 27 gigawatts.
Not so long ago we told about plans of Scotland on creation of wind power stations in offshore waters of the North Sea. Does not lag behind the province and England. There have decided to use powerful inflow and outflow, occurring at coast of Cornwall, and to create on their basis scale “green” power station.
Peninsula Cornwall at the expense of powerful inflow – very popular place in Great Britain for surfing. But soon it becomes also the centre of one of the largest “green” projects on the Earth. The program on creation there ebb-tide power station is now already started. And by 2050th year when the project conceived nowadays will be completely carried out, its capacity will make 27 gigawatts. It will allow to replace eight coal power stations of the average size.
In total for realization of this scale project till 2050 year it is planned to spend 15 billion pounds sterling. But the considerable part from this sum “will beat off” already to the specified date – the power station will start to operate in the nearest couple of years. On remarks of ecologists as if the large quantity of underwater blades will fatally affect sea life around peninsula Cornwall, founders of the project promise to neutralize these blades, having concluded them in grids through which any more or less large fish will not filter.
