We might be leaning toward minimalist style and single environments, but we also appreciate designers and artists who are able to handle color well.
Francesco Lo Castro from Florida happens to be drawing our attention together with his multicolor pictures.
He employs acrylics and oils, spray paint and silkscreen in addition to split epoxy resin and gold leaf, often on a wood base.
We like the rigid order and mixture of explosiveness, excitement and dreaminess, release and energy in his work.
Lo Castro was created in Italy, spent my youth in Germany, and has been active in the Miami art world for higher than a decade.
He’s currently working on creating 3D animations based on his pictures, established to premiere at UR1 Festival throughout Art Basel week.
