Dance Center: Cybernetic assemblages – a futuristic project of architect Nikita Troufanov from the Illinois Institute of Technology. The project is located somewhere between the mechanized body and spatial architecture using cybernetic vocabulary.
The organic shell of object has a stair connecting four spaces of dancerooms the same way, as element, relating parts of human body.
A structure aims to attain two primary purposes: maximally to free the level of earth and obtain the most effective penetration into a natural sunlight.
Fabric is a patchwork of different materials and functions. Spatial volumes are framed with steel ribs, interconnected horizontal truss. Complex curved surfaces exterior decorated with terracotta tiles. Perforated Metal works as a screen that protects against sun and rain, as well as boosting the thermal characteristics of the building.
