Xiqu Center – a project of the new building of the cultural center, designed for Hong Kong (China), by the experts from Canadian architectural studio Bing Thom Architects. Futuristic object becomes part of the project West Kowloon Cultural District.
The project, representing a mixture of theater, opera, and socio-cultural space, aims to ensure that this part of the Asian culture has become available for a new audience and the formation of international cultural programs.
Dominant position in the area of 13,800 square meters, the building Xiqu Center is located on the eastern edge of the WKCD on the corner of Canton Road and Austin Road West. Architecture structure with an impressive main entrance reinterprets traditional Chinese motifs, reincarnating them in today’s dynamic lines and shapes of the facade.
Structure includes a large number of public places for relaxation, 2000 square meters of educational institutions and audiences, as well as 400 locations of visual and traditional tea house for performances for up to 280 spectators.
