Connected by one thread. Experimental hybrid furniture from Kata Monus
0One head is good, two is better. Saying it always works flawlessly, so why not check it in action and on the furniture? A young Hungarian designer Kata Monus did just that: a thesis project for University of Arts and Design she called experimental, and presented it as a hybrid of furniture, two objects are woven into one.
As a textile designer, Kata Monus used in her project knitted items – something like a sleeve that is associated with thick woolen threads, which combines the soft furnishing long “corridor”.
Combining wood and textile designer, emphasizes the flexibility of the materials shows a perfect combination in a single whole, as a soft wool, and hardwood. And the environmental component of the project has always been the way, especially in the case of young, novice writers who need to prove themselves and their work at its best. However, the experiment Kata Monus and without it was a success, despite the fact that it’s more like an art object than a piece of furniture.
Kata Monus hybrid furniture is not going to put on the thread – this will be the exclusive design, available only for pre-order.
