It is unlikely that some of our readers ever there was a need to identify as accurately as possible, which is north or south, or other side of the world. And then, where east and west, where, and so clear, it is worth just to see where the sun sets. But if accuracy is important so you can always get a compass… Or bring in a house conceptual compass lamp, called The North.
Author of conceptual fixture, designer Andreas Muller, a fan of multi-functional objects, and lamps are often heavily-used only for lighting, well, sometimes – for interior decoration. Lamp The North, made of transparent plexiglass in the spirit of modern minimalism, and includes a compass function.
So, thanks to built-in dimmer and a digital compass, LED lamps are lit inside the dimmer as The North deviates from the north. Being rotated due south, device stops and does light up. The result was a cool night light, which, among other things is shaped like arrows of compass.
