Black Lodge – alternative hotel rooms in the Swedish resort

Black Lodge - a project developed by the Swedish architecture studio Jagnefalt Milton. According to the authors of the concept, such triangular wooden huts built on a deserted beach of a remote Swedish island, will be an interesting alternative to suites.

The hut has a wooden walls, which are arranged, and provide an opportunity to partially or completely open interior space to meet the wildlife.

The hut, built of pine, derived from the surrounding forest, provides simple wooden structures, which can be used as tables, beds, benches or chairs. 

However, the inconvenience and asceticism of this lifestyle on vacation, in this case, a relative concept and is a voluntary choice for tourists who can at any time return to their comfortable room with private bathroom, air conditioning and other advantages of the present day.

The hotel, which owns the wooden hut is located in close proximity to them, in the former limestone quarry. 

According to the authors of the project, their goal was to provide a comfortable hotel for the guests the opportunity to purchase a holiday experience – removal from problems and worries, relax in a merger with wildlife. In addition, alternative accommodation, huts are built on an old Swedish tradition of architecture, which increases their cultural and historical value and increases the interest of tourists.
