Sunwell Muse – metaphorical expression of female beauty
0The unique building Sunwell Muse, based in Shibuya-ku (west of Tokyo, Japan) at first sightintriguing asymmetrical ”gorge”, cut the airy minimalist shell structure, mysteriously opening the viewer contrasting warm inner content. According to the authors of the project, the new headquarters of the Japanese textile company is a metaphorical expression of feminine beauty.
This Tokyo construction, which area has made 221 square metre – result of joint creativity of architectural studio Be-Fun Design and Japanese architect Takato Tamagami. The five-floor concrete block includes galleries and office space of the known textile company Sunwell which field of activity covers process of manufacture, wholesale and retail trade.
Factory activity is aimed basically at lady’s wear creation, than the concept of the project of headquarters and its corporate style – metaphorical expression of intriguing female beauty speaks.
Two curvilinear walls set spatial geometry of all building and form a way conducting visitors on all to five levels. From a ground floor premise it is possible to get to a cellar with high ceilings to which the open wooden ladder conducts.
Characteristic for a structure smooth lines aspire to cause associations with bends of a female body. Reserved, a little cold plastered exterior of a building, smoothly breaking half-and-half, slightly opens secret of internal heat of the wood of the pine which have become by the basic material of furnish of interiors covered with a varnish.
