Italian architectural studio Studio Associato Bettinelli combined apartment and located above the attic into a single living space M2 House. Visual dominant interior main room has a monolithic conceptual ladder.
Located in Bergamo (Lombardy, Italy) vintage flat became a meeting place for modern minimalism and rare antiques.
The massive wooden staircase connecting the two levels of apartments, was conceived as a vertical “paths”.
Dark solid volume, cut through the space of two floors, forms his own third dimension – the portal between the living and the second level, between past and future.
Aesthetics ladder support elements of modern furniture and decor. In contrast with the smooth deep black surfaces and white walls, antique furniture “sounds” are especially fine, and the subjects of paintings are not dissolved in the interior, and is literally chained to the attention of residents and visitors of unique apartment.
Preoccupied with black facade, built-in storage roomy, but not visible. The warm wood tones of noble walnut compensates cold black minimalist surfaces and highlights their visual depth.
